All of our celebration cakes and cookies are freshly baked from quality, fresh ingredients just a few days before you are going to eat them. That means you'll taste the cakes at their best and even if we say so ourselves, they taste great! We use real dairy butter (never margarine) and never use preservatives so they taste as smooth and as rich as possible...

When we set out in this venture as a proper business, we did it by the book. We studied the health & hygiene issues and took a diploma to verify that we knew what we were doing. We also applied to the local food standards authority for them to come and check our kitchen and to make sure we were applying the rules correctly. Thankfully the inspector was not the one that we remembered from 'that' episode of Fawlty Towers all those years ago and our kitchen didn't have a 'Basil' lurking in a corner waiting to pop out and cause chaos.

The inspector awarded us with an 'Excellent' rating under the 'Hampshire Food Authorities, Food Hygiene Rating System' and you can see that certificate by clicking here to view it.

We are borderline obsessive about cleanliness and we will not accept any compromise in our finished product. The upside of that is that you will not get a substandard product, the downside is that we have to work some late hours 'if' the icing on your wedding cake cracks when being placed on the cake.

All the decorations you see on the celebration cakes above are hand-made, even the carnations on the 90th birthday cake and the pink-lilies as well. The Tiara, we confess, is plastic but could be made from pastillage if that was the brief.

Our cakes are always prepared as close to the event date as possible (usually 2-3 days) and always made from fresh ingredients and never from cake mixes, as is popular with some specialist celebration cake suppliers. We like clients to collect from us if possible as this means we get to see your face when you see the cake and it also saves us the extra cost of delivery. For weddings, we will of course, deliver to the venue and set-up the cake, just remember to tell the caterers to have a table for the cake, please! Yes, that has happened!

We can supply multi-tiered display units (as seen in the far left cake above) and we can either rent that to you or sell it as part of the package, we do charge a deposit when renting which is returned in full once the display is returned to us in good condition.

So, our 'promise' is that we will do everything we can to make sure that your cake brings you smiles of pleasure in the appearance as well as the taste, when you take the knife to it and destroy all our hard work... Just kidding, we want you to cut it and eat it and share it with as many friends and family as possible as we know from experience that this is the best way for us to get more customers, as they will all be asking you for our contact details......
